How disabling search indexing on windows 7

Feature search indexing on windows used to facilitate users in searching files. The facility is used when a user does not know the location of a file on his computer. However, if users do not ever use a search engine on windows due to already know the location of the file, the feature is better search indexing disabled.

To turn off search indexing can be performed using the method below.

1. Click on the Start button and type in "services.msc"
2. Find and right click the "Windows Search " and click Properties
3. In the Startup type field choose "Disabled "
4. Reboot your computer and you are done.
